Where will it be? We are going to
and we will stay at the Wyndham Hotel in the heart of the Columbus Historic District.
What will we do? On Friday night we will be on the banks of the Chattahoochee in the historic district. We start out at the resplendent Springer Opera House with drinks and hors d'ouvres and then move to the breathtaking River Center for the Performing Arts after which we split into 4 groups with some going to The Tavern, some to The Olive Branch, some to The Cannon Brew Pub and some to Houlihan's for dinner. Everyone will have a choice of a chicken dish, a pasta dish, or a beef dish. After everyone is fed and comfortable, it's on to the Loft for prizes and entertainment with Comedian, Jerry Farber.
The next morning, (Sat.) we start at the new Trade Center with breakfast. Then on to a discussion of political advertising with the deputy chief of the FCC policy division and GAB'S Washington counsel Ed Hummers. Then move on to a review of the great media rivers as they converge, (is that thing on your arm really a PDF-GPS-email-wrist radio) and finish with an examination of Satellite Radio. This last, needs the attention of both Radio and TV.
We honor the Georgian of the Year at lunch and then take time out for fun.
After an afternoon filled with the recreation of your choice we gather again to eat and award the GABBYS. Then we celebrate the GABBY winners with the Afterglow party.
On Sunday morning we eat heartily and digest Breakfast with Counsel and then head for home. A complete agenda is on the back of this page.
LETÕS HAVE A GAB GOOD TIME!
